Franz Marc
Franz Marc was a pioneer of the abstract art at the beginning of the twentieth century. The Blue riders group introduce a new program for the art, being based on überschwänglicher colour and deeply of felt emotional and spiritual states. It was the special contribution of Franz Marc to introduce heavenly pictures which had a collection of animals, insbesonders a group of heroic horses as actors. Tragic proofs Marc was killed in the First World War at the age of 36 years, but not before he had created some of the most thrilling and most moving pictures of the expressionist movement.
