August Macke
August Macke spends in 1909/10 some time in Munich and also in the Tegernsee. He becomes a good friend of franc of Marc whose art he admires. He also kicks in contact with the " new artist's union Munich ". A visit in an exhibit of the Islamic art in 1910 inspires him to use eastern motives in pictures and tapestry. From 1911 he lives in Bonn. From 1911/12 quirk is a member of the artist's group " the blue rider " and shows works with both of her exhibits. Quirk contributes in 1912 with his work as well as as one of the organizers to the "special alliance exhibit" in Cologne. The same year he also goes on his fourth trip to Paris, this spot accompanied from his friend Franz Marc. They visit Robert Delaunay in his studio. In spite of his short life he leaves a comprehensive life work of the big strength and high quality. August Macke is looked as a master of the colours, a coloured and happy world is returned in his oil pictures and watercolors. At the beginning the style was added by August Macke to the impressionism, he takes up elements of the futurism and cubism. After the meeting with the orphistischen style of Robert Delaunay the pictures of quirk experience a certain purification and simplification of the forms.
