Giorgio de Chirico
In the beginning the young man studied in Athens, from 1906 he was in Munich with Max Klinger in the apprenticeship. In this time Giorgio de Chirico also dealt intensely with the philosophy. Above all, the big thinkers Friedrich Nietzsche and Arthur Shopenhauer influenced him in his life views. In 1911 - in 1913 Giorgio de Chirico lived in Paris. There he also met the artist rising at that time Pablo Picasso as well as the art critic Guillaume Appolinaire. A meeting with a representative of the modern Italian painting, Carlo Carra, pulled the grounds of "Pittura metafisica" after itself. In 1924 - in 1935 Giorgio de Chirico lived once more in Paris and was taken up there by the circle of the surrealists enthusiastically. Beside the metaphysical painting way Giorgio de Chirico about the years the classicism as well as the surrealism influenced. In 1944 the artist sat down in Rome where he argued in the neobaroque style, among the rest, with Rubens. Giorgio de Chirico died in 1978 in Rome.
